How are the rakes of 12688 and 22688 i.e. portions from DDN and CDG combined together at SRE? Since both trains arrive from opposite directions into the station, always had this doubt of how they remove the locos from between the rakes and combine them? Could anyone please explain?

Saw it happening live with my eyes
Ddn-mdu arrives on pf3 first,its loco gets reversed, then cdg-mdu arrives on pf4,it's loco is detached
Then Ddn-mdu proceeds out of pf3 (loco reversed now) and then moves in backward direction towards pf4 and hence rest of the coaches are combined

I want a ticket for my brother in SL or 3AC from VAPI to NDLS (New Delhi) on 14th Nov or 15th Nov. Can you please suggest any method to get a confirmed ticket. Like from earlier station from Mumbai if we can get a confirmed ticket it would be great.

Come out from pf1 ,walk for about 5 mins,u will get bus no. 429 directly to old delhi railway station...fare only 15rs...time taken 40-50 mins depending on traffic...thank me later...
