1. Last Friday, I have visited Pune railway station to assist my Friend to board Pune Bilaspur Express whose departure time is 5:40pm. I was shocked to look at the outset of crowd on the old overbridge which connects to all 6 platforms @ Pune station.
Unfortunately, the train had to depart from platform 6 and we had arrived Pune station from its main gate which starts with platform no. 1. It means we have to cross the entire span of bridge to reach the platform no. 6.

know the correct platform information of trains are not adequate @ Pune station.
2. The announcement system does not work effectively and is not audible at all.
3. Lot of passengers stand on the bridge awaiting to get the correct platform information which causes overrush / overcrowding on the bridge.
4. It was near stampede situation and in those rush it is difficult for ladies, children to safely reach to their respective platforms. Who would be responsible in case any mishap happens?
Railways official @ Pune station are not paying any attention to these major inconvenience to passenger and are not taking any steps to avoid such overcrowding on bridge.
I hope the major stations like Pune should have better facilities and safety of passenger should be of utmost importance for the officials working.
I wish this is taken in positive spirit and some good reforms are made @ Pune Station.
