krishnapullikuth 8 blog postsThe BG section of Palakkad to Madurai has been in operation for eight years or so. But it is very unfortunate that the section is not utilized to its fullest capasity after spending crores of rupees to convert from MG to BG. There are only three trains( two leaving almost at the same time in the morning toeards madurai and one in the evening to Chennai) . Railways can think of starting one train to leave by midf morning towards Rameshwaram so as to reach RMM by evening so that passengers traveling to Palani, Madurai can avail this service. Similar service in the in the night say 2200hrs towards RMM to reach RMM in the early morning . It is noted that there was a train to RMM from CBE & PGT which joins as one at Pollachi prior to conversion. Railways can restart the same...
