My parents told me that there is an escalator that has been inaugurated at this station- NCJ. But irritatingly, they could not use it since the official word is that "there is no one to operate it"! Why in God's name do you need a human being to operate an escalator? It is sad to see so many elderly people suffer in this station. I have already tweeted to Mr. Suresh Prabhu but nothing has come of it!

Surely step motherly treatment for this train. No breakfast! We ended up eating curd rice at 9:30 in the morning!

Does anyone have an idea of when we can expect the regular daily train from Bangalore SBC to Nagercoil NCJ which goes through Madurai? It was announced in the last rail budget but I am not getting any news of when it will be operational.
