It does not stop while going to solapur at Hotgi and Tikekarwadi but while going to Bijapur after engine reversal it stops. However, due to heavy traffic between Gulbarga-Solapur single line, many times it stops at Hotgi and Tikekarwadi(unofficially).... I hope this helps...

Sharing some of my personal experience with this train when i travelled in it in march.
I stay nearly 15km away from pune station. So it's a very terrible & tough idea of even getting to pune jn before 5.30a.m. Those who hav personal vehicles, its great,bt those who rely on bus or auto,i suggest them to pre book a dial-cab one night advance. I had to spend my 400 bucks to stay in lodge for one night near pune jn. as it was impossible to reach jn from my home, in the early morning.
Tea,breakfast
...
was average bt service standard was good. Patronage was nearly 60-70% frm pune itself. The speed is mindblowing as per seeing the pitiful conditions of CR tracks b/w daund and gulbarga. Loco link was a brand new emd wdp4d. Coaches looked new from outside bt inside its average. But still neat & clean. Majority of time it arrives secundrabad nearly around 2p.m. I think one of the most punctual train of CR.
But The main problem here is with the Seats as these are not that cushioned as are in LHB coaches.

For People looking to travel from Pune/Mumabi to Bangalore, book ticket to Hosur (HSRA) and you may pay for the extension from to Bangalore (SBC) by approaching the TT before you reach Hosur(HSRA). This will cost you negligibly more but will provide PNRs in general quota which gets cleared easily

we railfans have spend a lot of time to learn these tips.. but making it public is not a good practise .(do u know railways never made such things public because they themselves know that some things are to kept secret) even the TTE does not know BP change.. his chart also do not have that information....one day we railfans will not get cnf tickets ...

this is best train for people boarding nearby to Lingampally. as it reaches around lingampally at around 2pm.. so need not catch other trains from Begumpet by unnecesaarily travelling in oppossite direction..
1) tickets are easily available.. and maximum waiting list is cleared at the time of charting.
2) fare is less as compared to hussain nagar (because of no superfast surcharge around Rs 30 per person in SL)
3)
...
Maximum people deboard at pune.. so mumbai bound passegers can easily have a sound sleep..
4) less stoppages
5) less congestion as intermediate passengers generally board the unreserved compartments ( 6 unreserved compartments)

In a six-month-long drive, Pune railway division has caught 94,354 passengers travelling without tickets or without booking their heavy luggage
In a ticket checking drive by the Pune railway division, 94,354 passengers have been caught in the last six months, averaging some 17 people a day. Between January and June, the railways, in collaboration with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), has collected close to Rs 5.05 lakh from people travelling without tickets or travelling without booking heavy luggage.Railway authorities conducted the checks between Pune and Lonavala, at major railway stations such as Shivajinagar, Pimpri and Chinchwad. “The drive was initiated to catch people travelling in long-distance and local trains without a ticket. Most of the times, passengers give us lame excuses that

they were in a hurry or have misplaced the ticket,” said Yogendra Kumar Sharma, public relations officer of Pune railway division.
“Passengers travelling in long-distance trains do not book their extra luggage and simply keep it in the middle of the passage, blocking the way, which causes inconvenience to others. We have informed people time and again to book their heavy luggage, but they take the easy way out to save money,” he added.
Sharma added that if a passenger is caught without a valid ticket, they have to pay the full fare topped by a R250 fine. In case they are unable to do this, authorities have no choice but to take whatever cash they have and let them off with a warning.
In order to create awareness, the railways has been conducting street plays and putign up posters at major stations, informing passengers about the importance of travelling with a legal ticket.

A.C Coach mein jo travel karte hein unka kya hoga??? All they have is a 'Glass Cover' and even if stone pelting might not break the glass on the first attempt....it will create a crack on the surface and repeated hits will definitely break it for sure.Don't know what kind of 'Sadistic pleasure' they get in throwing stones at a moving train.

When railways know that this is a recurring incident, why dont they try and put an end to the menace once and for al. Is it so difficult?
