You should book from MTD and board from MTD if possible otherwise if you make board point at LUNI then you'll got w/l ticket, choice is yours :)

but your boarding point is going to change, every stn have some quota which your seeing in form of available and w/l for your booking right now.

Best thing for you to book availabe ticket and change boarding point by visiting nearest prs ( railway station reservation office). Change in boarding point is easily done, you have to write a blank paper application.
