I am holding an AC Chair Car ticket by Ahmedabad-Mumbai Shatabdi Express from Ahmedabad to Mumbai Central.

The train halts at Borivali and then at Mumbai Central. If I get down at Borivali and travel by a local (suburban) train to Dadar, will I have to buy a separate ticket for travel by the local train?

the answer to this question is that I will not have to (i.e., I will be able to travel on the local train using the Shatabdi ticket), then my second question is in which class will I be entitled to travel on the local train?

Years back, there used to be a specific remark in Book-Printed Time Table of WR stating eligibility of a passenger to travel till Mahalaxmi (the last station before Mumbai Central).
As no contradictory remark has been seen, I presume – Allowed till Mahalaxmi.
ACCH (it is Shatabdi) being lower than 1st Class, you have to travel in 2nd class only.
The trains at that
time are quite comfortable and hence undertaking a local will not be a difficulty.
12910 arrives at PF 5(normally) and after this, there would be a FAST local train which will take you to Dadar with a ride of 28 minutes appx.

There has recently been a lot of frustration among RFs when their Station Pics, Loco Pics, Train Pics get rejected because the "number is not showing", "shed is not visible", the loco/train is at a distance, Train Board is too small, "better pic available", etc. . To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...
