PNR 6629484472, travelling on 02863. Reached BBS just now, @ 7: 45pm, so it's late by 3 hours and more. Train stopped between Bhadrak and Kapilas Road and after Cuttack for unknown reason.

Mad rush for tickets of October, YPR-HWH route. within 2 minutes, from AVbl 120, my ticket went down to WL 63. I'm not sure, whether this ticket will get confirmed or not. Can anyone please analyze this PNR, and predict the final Charting Status. Thanks.

Thank you sabyasachi and sahib Sindh Sultan. As there's no news of extra 3AC being added, I shall expect the ticket to be in RAC or in worst case, in WL.

Bit apprehensive about the ticket being CNF, still taking chance about predicting so. Funny, I'm predicting my own fate.

Exactly! I could not inform you while on board, but this train was augmented with one BE ! Otherwise, other 72 passengers like me never have gotten onto. Though the train was 1:30 hr late to arrival on Howrah, but no complains. :-D Thank you.

Went off to station, as parents left on this ticket. Unbelievable rush on train. Almost all of SL classes were overflowing with passengers. B1,2,3,4 each coaches are having 6 RAC each. The TTE saiRACs are even in 2A coach, just to clear as many passengers as possible. Even the compressor of AC coaches were groaning. When pointed out, TTE exclaimed helplessly that all the coaches are very old; these have been repaired at maximum.
I do welcome, if required more, of passenger fare hike. If that can save railway, so be it.

Railways is trying to minimize the Gap b/w Demand & supply with relation to fiscal policy. No matter how much fare is increased & number of berths remain same , It will always be seen that avg demand will always increase specially during vacations & festivals. Thus earning will tend to increase. There are some great economic strategy behind this fare hike. We should understand this.

Understood partially. But what about portion of money spent towards regular maintenance and making extra coaches? In short, increase of capacity? We don't get news about these often. Railways authority certainly knows which certain sectors shall have how much expected increase in volume of traffic. They surely an take measure to accommodate people. Now if they seriously do that, and increase the level of maintenance, people shall not be unhappy to pay more. In fact, none of our MPs' protested at the idea of Fuel Rate Calibration!

People...I'm standing on my tip toes. Hairs are raised on head. only 2 days are left for journey, but this PNR 4501342016 is not yet moving a step ahead. I calculated, re-calculated. Duronto 12246 2AC seats are available, may be not more than 14, after deducting TATKAL tickets. I assume there's 48 seats in 2AC, and 24 is offered to GN quota. Then how come people are predicting that this PNR will be confirmed???? What is the basis?

But seriously, for my parents and family, I've already blocked around 6 tickets. All in WL. It's really getting very tough in SBC-HWW sector. See my another post#823710. Even those two are in WL, I don't know about getting CNF.

WL-4 in 22817 (HWH_MYS Exp).. This would confirm easily... I feel chances of this confirming is slim... My prediction is because it has 1 2AC coach (Tatkal - 8, Defence - 2, HO - 12, Rest - General Quota)... so technically prediction has to be based on half 2AC coach.. Few people would be applying for HO quota.. My feeling chances are low
