This is a fact. Railways has stupidly has given more priority to Rajdhani, Duronto, shtabdi to make passengers travel more in premium trains and get more revenue using Flexi fare. What better way then to, prioritise and make Express/Mails suffer and give OT to Rajdhani and Premium trains. If you travel in trains like Mahabodhi, Vikramshilla, Sampoorna Kranti then you can suffer 3 to 4 hrs delay. But long running trains like NE express, Avadh Asam, Bramputra Mail are the major sufferers.

From the past few days there has been a lot of controversies regarding the addition of Asansol halt and removal of Parasnath halt. Now today officially ER demanded the removal of Parasnath halt from Howrah Rajdhani.
Do u think the proposal was correct from the side of ER to be send to RB??? And what do u think could be reason for sending the proposal

I travel frequently to ASN from NDLS. usually it is Sealdah Rajdhani or Poorva. Poorva is usually late by 2-3 hrs and I reach ASN never before 3:30 or 4 PM (almost 23 hrs journey). Only option left is Sealdah Rajdhani which almost has no seats for ASN. Now with HWH Rajdhani their will be one more option. I have been requesting this since 2016. Now one more train in the wish list-SDAH Duronto.

They don't give options in 3 AC and 2 AC. If you insist they will accommodate your request. In 1 AC, it is given as options.

So here I post my return journey by 12309. Incidentally it was d last day of Bihar Diwas and pre-evening to Ram Navmi. Dak Bangla chowk and roads were beutifully decorated with programs, blocking all the roads towards Patna Junction. We were stuck in traffic for nearly 30 mins arriving nearly 7:05 PM at PF-1. Announcement was made of 12309 arriving shortly. As I started walking towards my coach, H2, which was at the end of platform, 12309 entered PF-1 slowly.
Sharp at 7:25 PM it started its onwards journey. H2 coach was Swarna coach with Toilet dispensar, modified compartments with LED clock and climbing stairs. Sharp 7:45 PM Mushroom soup was served with Dinner near 8:30 PM. As compared to 3

AC food which I had just 4 days back in 12310, Dinner was excellent in 1 AC. We arrived MGS at 10 PM and standing at MGS till 10:30 PM. Just after MGS we overtook a LHB train at Chunar. I thought that it was SK, but possibly I was wrong. Non stop overtakes happened after 2:30 PM when we arrived Kanpur. At 6:30 AM we reached Gaziabad outer. We were made to stand at sahiabad for 20 mins when Lucknow AC Express arrived on adjoining platform with a WAP 5 and WAG 9 loco. 12309 started for NDLS and arrived at PF 12 sharp at 7:30 AM. Immediately Lucknow AC Express arrived on PF-13.
Observation:
1. This train is Bihar ka lala and no other train has guts to touch 12309/12310.
2. Pillows as available now is very fluffy and good quality
3. 1 AC coaches have been converted to Swarna. It is travelling with H3 also few times.

I am posting journey report with 12398 Mahabodhi Express from New Delhi to Gaya on 29th March. I was travelling in A1. I arrived NDLS at 11:30 am with huge security around the station due to Mahavir Jayanti and Lalu Yadav coming by Ranchi Rajdhani Express, which arrived shortly on PF 16.
Mahabodhi was placed on PF 8 with WAP 4 22299 loco. As Mahabodhi was placed, Kanpur Shatabdi arrived shortly with WAP 5. Huge crowd awaited Mahabodhi. At 12:10 we started though very slowly. We met Maduadinh SF at Shivaji bridge chased closely by Sapt Kranti. Around 1 PM we arrived Gaziabad and as we entered Lichvi Express was leaving for last stop NDLS and Vikramashila was entering Gaziabad.

arrived Aligarh at 2 PM and started slowly arriving at Kanpur at 6:40 PM. Arrived Allahabad at 9 PM. Just before MGS it was stopped for nearly 1 hr and more stoppages after MGS. I was hoping that it will be able to cover the delay but again it was stopped for nearly 1 hr at Rafiganj finally arriving Gaya at 6 am sharp.
Observations
1. Coaches are very old LHB and in pretty bad condition. Full of Mosquitoes.
2. No escalators service at Gaya jn. FoB is also very narrow and steep.
3. Pantry car serves lot of variety of food. But food quality is very poor. Please carry your own food or order from e-catering.
4. Very broken toilets, handles etc.
Overall probably it was my last journey in this train. Given the poor experience, I will rather prefer to take Puroshatam then this train.
