I have one question with respect to the cancellation of waiting list Tatkal tickets.
I got only zero refund for the cancellation of waiting list Tatkal ticket.
When contacted the irctc care,They say that the ticket is confirmed during chart preparation.
I have cancelled the ticket on the booking day itself.
dont know why they have kept the cancelled ticket as waiting list until chart preparation (which usually happens before 4 hours of the train departure) to get it confirmed.
There was some 20 hours in between my cancellation and the chart preparation
I am sure that the ticket was in the waiting list(W/L 1) at the time of cancellation.
Can someone help me in resolving this.

I can get only the cancellation details..but not the status of the cancelled ticket.
The conversation between me and the irctc is given in the beginning itself.
They say the ticket is confirmed during chart preparation

You say that you cancelled ticket on booking day itself (which you can prove)
They say that the ticket was confirmed during chart preparation. (how can a ticket cancelled much before considered at chart preparation)
Regarding the status of ticket at the time of cancellation need to be cleared..
WL#1 in marginal and this can only happen if your ticket is just confirmed when
you were cancelling your ticket.

Yes Ruchir, I agree that WL#1 is marginal and can get confirmed when I was cancelling the ticket
I am still not clear about the below comment
"They say that the ticket was confirmed during chart preparation. (how can a ticket cancelled much before considered at chart preparation)"
Why do they bring chart preparation to the table while discussing he cancelled ticket.
of this I doubt that weather my ticket cancellation is reflected in the IRCTC server.

You can once again contact IRCTC and confirm whether it was because of CONFIRMED status or because of any other specific reason (chart preparation) that you got Zero refund.

There has recently been a lot of frustration among RFs when their Station Pics, Loco Pics, Train Pics get rejected because the "number is not showing", "shed is not visible", the loco/train is at a distance, Train Board is too small, "better pic available", etc. . To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...
