Can anybody confirm whether there is any rule to be implemented such that no birth / seats will be allocated to child tickets

In my view, Side Berths of 3rd AC and 2nd AC coaches are almost similar [Except width / length specification in that case 3rd AC coach itself is sufficient to accomodate a normal person]. Is there any other differences that would justify the price difference?

IRCTC planning to start Ticket Booking via SMS from 1st July it seems. But SMS ticket booking will start only at 12 noon

Why dont IR make JANMABHOOMI EXP (Tr No: 12805) as connecting train to JAN SHATAPTHI (Tr No: 12077). If made as a connecting train, will be useful for lot of ppl travelling to Secunderabad from Chennai during day time.

Thanks for your reply. I agree your answer. Making the train 12805 start 15 mins later, Jan Shatabthi (12077) can start 30 mins earlier so that we can have 30 mins buffer time at tenali junction to change trains. More over, if with this we can reach Secunderabad from chennai within 12 hrs and 45 mins (Including Change over).
