I traveled on 3/1/2014 from MAS to KJM and the coach composition is reversed. i.e., S1 starts from the guard's coach side not from loco.

Oct 03 2014 (13:07)   City railway station tidied up, but politicos still hold a broom

Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers, H N Ananth Kumar, and other politicians took part in the Clean India campaign at the City railway station on Thursday by cleaning platforms and tracks that had already been cleaned long before they arrived at the scene!
Besides Kumar, the MP from Bangalore South, others like Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council, K S Eshwarappa, Rajya Sabha member and Congress spokesperson, Prof M V Rajeev Gowda, and Nirmalananda Swami of Adichunchangiri Math, were there to heed the prime minister’s call on cleanliness.
The programme
began around 9 am on a high note with the guests delivering speeches and fulfilling other formalities.
However, cleaners and sweepers had already done the work of sweeping and tidying up the entire station in the early morning hours, leaving the guests to merely pose for the shutterbugs with the broomsticks.
At one juncture when the guests were “symbolically” sweeping a platform that was already spic and span, a policeman strategically placed a plastic bag between the brooms of the guests to enable a good photo opportunity.
At another juncture when the guests were brooming the railway tracks, the same policeman placed yet another plastic bag for the guests. A number of volunteers also took part in the campaign and were seen using their brooms more as an accessory for a photo op than a tool for cleaning.
Passengers appeared inconvenienced by the large contingent of politicians, railway and security officials who blocked the platforms.
At the beginning of the campaign last month, there were reports of the Union Minister of State for Tourism, Shripad Naik, engaging in a stage-managed cleaning drive. Reports said a number of cleaners were deployed to deliberately litter the premises of the Red Fort, where the ministers was speaking, only to enable him to hold a broom later.

Dirty Politics! Instead, he could appreciated the cleaners for keeping it tidy and could have moved on Majestic Bus Stand and cleaned up over there.

Bengaluru: In a shocking accident, a businessman from Aurangabad, Maharashtra, lost both his limbs and revealed both the insensitivity of the public and the absence of basic emergency facilities at the Bangalore Cantonment railway station. The 44-year-old Bipin had come to the city on business and on his way back he hopped on to a wrong train. As soon as he realised this he jumped off the moving train. Sadly, after the jump both his limbs were crushed.
"I lay there in a pool of blood for almost fifty minutes,” recalled Bipin, “screaming for help, but nobody from the railway station came to help me. There was no emergency team to tackle the situation."
there were still a few helpful fellow-travellers. Like the one, for instance, who informed Bipin’s wife of the accident. "I received a message from a good samaritan late at night on September 16. It was a fellow passenger and he told me that my husband had met with a horrific accident and needed help immediately. I didn’t believe it at first, but then my husband called and spoke to me. I was horrified and shell shocked and did not know what to do," says his wife.
"For fifty minutes he had been lying there asking for help but nobody from the cantonment railway station came to help, they even lacked basic emergency care. Worse, onlookers, instead of helping my husband, were taking his pictures and whatsapping," remembers his stunned wife. Bipin was then rushed to Vikram hospital after a telephone call was made to the emergency ambulance services by the railway authorities who had not been in sight for more than thirty minutes. He was admitted on September 16 midnight with crushed legs.
Says Dr Vasudev Prabhu, consultant, orthopaedic and knee replacement surgeon of Vikram Hospital who was the treating surgeon: "When he came to our hospital for emergency care his BP was only 50 and he was on the verge of death. He had lost almost 3 litres of blood on the railway tracks. 30%-40% of the circulating volume was gone and he was heading towards hypovolemic shock." The doctors took immediate resuscitating measures to stabilize him.
"There were multiple fractures of the pelvic area along with a fractured sacrum bone and injury to the kidney. We used nearly 5-6 packets of blood to replenish the blood loss. His limbs had to be amputated," says Dr Vasudev. “He is now stable. However, we have advised the family to take extreme care of his injuries for almost four weeks,” says Dr Vasudev. The family decided to speak to the media to bring their apathy to light and also to expose the lackadaisical attitude of the Cantonment railway authorities.
“We need compensation as the railway lacked emergency care. Also the gap between the platform and the train was huge, which was the main reason my husband fell on to the tracks and not the platform,” says his wife.

When I saw accidents, I used to dial "108" in both Chennai and Bangalore. It is simple, you need not even wait till ambulance comes -- just dial 108 and tell the address and landmark, and you can move on.
Ambulance Driver will call you, just guide him a bit. That's it. There are incidence, where people are taken away by other means like Auto or Car, even after I dial 108, later when the Ambulance driver calls me, I tell him the victim/patients are taken away by other means, so as the driver understands & stops coming to the accident place.
a humble request just dial 108 as soon as you and accident! Please! Please!! Please!!!

Coach Position was announced last week but didn't this week. Apart from coach position mistake, 2 minutes halt is too less. In my opinion, all trains should halt 5 minutes and this should halt 10 minutes because more than 1000 passengers board in this train only @ KJM.

If you plan to reach during peak traffic time (7pm to 9pm) from IndiraNagar(Old Madras Road) try to avoid this level Baiyappanahalli crossing Road.
There's no way to take left also to take subway, which takes to Banaswadi Railway station.
Better start very early or go by KasturiNagar & Chikka Banaswadi Road.
This tips is applicable till the ROB is completed or during
peak traffic time, who is coming from IndiraNagar-Old Madras Road Side.

There was confusion at Central railway station on Sunday when some passengers missed the Mysore-bound Kaveri Express as it was advanced by 30 minutes.
A GRP official said the change in timing was notified through the media. “Over 70 passengers missed the train, however. Alternate arrangements were made, but some resfued to take the other train,” said the official.

I had booked ticket from MAS to ED, on June 27, 2014. It was running late by 6 hours at one stage, later arrived @ MAS late by 3.30 hours.
Did not travel and filed TDR under the reason "Train is running late more than 3 hours & passenger not travelled".
Be ready to be delayed at least by 2-3 hours.
