I've had an eTicket for 12625 departing TVC at 11:15 am in 3A for 3 senior citizens. Due to some reasons, I've just cancelled their tickets at 5:15 am, ie 6 hours before departure. Found that the chart was already prepared. So I was asked at IRCTC site to enter a TDR by selecting a TDR reason, which I did selecting the reason "Reason For TDR: Party Could Not Cancel Because Chart Prepared At Originating Or Previous Remote Location". The total fare paid was 2748/- + 20/- service charges. How much refund should I expect and in how much time... can someone please advice on this.

Is there a way by which one can find how many seats are allotted to a particular station/group of stations in any particular class on any particular train (and also under a particular type of quota lie General, Tatkal, Defence, etc.)?
I know one way is to check availability on the last possible reservation date, but that will work only for trains that are not too much in demand. For high demand trains, the last day reservation immediately fills up the moment it opens so one can never get the correct information.
Any site where such info can be found?

Any railway station will have atleast two immediate destinations, being on two different ends of the single line serving that station. However when there is an additional line terminating/passing through that station, there will be more than 2 immediate stations connection to the particular station.
In above scenario, the station will be designated as a Junction station

Railways do NOT allot you berth nos in 1AC at the time of booking. You will just get a confirmed ticket for your train. At the time of Chart preparation, subject to availability of your given choice, you will be allotted your berth nos.
