News in respect of Poorva especially 12381 via GAYA is getting vaguely confusing nowadays!!! Now this forum says its schedule has been revised wef 30.10.2014 which means Poorva via Gaya shall now onwards depart from HWH at 9:30 AM instead of 8:15 AM. Is this true? Has the departure timing been changed permanently, or is it going to be so only temporarily? While Indian Rail website is still showing departure at 8:15AM. Already the train is running late on every run, then late departure would mean further delay in arrival and hence more difficulty to the NDLS bound passengers!!! What about the much hyped increase of speed to 130 kmph? Can anybody share any info in this regard or about the MGS-ALD electrification completion? Pls share some genuine info, if available, for the sake of the passengers and the fans of Poorva...

A few days back there were newspaper reports from a few leading Hindi dailies published in the IRI forum which stated that the Railway ministry has confirmed speed increase to 130 kmph for a few trains running in the GAYA-NDLS route which included POORVA Exp, Mahabodhi Exp among a few others. Further the speed increase may be effected from the last week of October this year. But now 12381 is no longer in that news. Can anybody please confirm if the news published was a genuine one. And if so, then whether it is 12381 or 12382 POORVA whose speed is going to be increased. In the report there was a mention of Gaya-HWH Poorva. How so? If it is GAYA-NDLS route for Mahabodhi, then how can it not be the same route i.e. GAYA-NDLS route (for speed increase) for 12381 Poorva? Pls confirm the veracity of the report.

IRI website says "12381/Poorva is in recent news". As per the news report enclosed as published in Jagran news in Hindi, 12381/12382 is going to be made a daily service between Manduadih and New Delhi as declared by our honorable PM Sir!!! Totally confused by this news... Can anybody please shed some light as regards news of any new development in connection with operation or TT of 12381/12382 POORVA Exp in near future... Please share some info or clarification in this connection here...

Somebody in the IRI forum in the recent past had put a comment in connection with POORVA EXPRESS mentioning that 12381 POORVA(via GAYA) far outperforms 12303 POORVA (via PNBE) when it comes to punctuality... Can't understand how this statement could be justified... I think the observation has made an about-turn or rather completely lost its validity at present... While 12303 is reaching NDLS on time (or being not much late) almost on a regular basis, its counterpart 12381 (which should have been more punctual of the two on account of its shorter via GAYA route) has become a pathetic laggard. Almost on every trip it is made to halt at ALD for more than 1 hr and there starts the plight of the train (rather of the passengers) with unnecessary dillydallying becoming a daily matter of concern... This problem of 12381 needs immediate attention and must be fixed early so that...
12381 is given treatment at least equal to that of 12303, if not equal to VIP trains like 12393.

Today (06/10/2014) most of the M/E/SF trains in the ALJN-NDLS section are running late unusually. 12381 POORVA reached NDLS and was late by 4:30 hrs. In fact, it took almost 5 hrs to travel a distance of 130 km from ALJN to NDLS. 12393 SK Exp was unusually late by almost 4:30 hrs. 12397 Mahabodi running late by more than 6 hrs. Many other trains are also running delayed unusually. All these info are as per NTES data. Anybody aware of what may be the possible reasons for this long delay of so many trains in this section, may pls share in this IRI forum...

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
