Rationalisation of sub urban fares and passes should be done first. Without any income how Railways improve facilities as 50% of regular fares and upto 80 % cost of passes are subsidized

Last year also 200 crore was earmarked for Bangalore suburban railways which was not utilized. First GoK and IR need come to a consensus on on cost-sharing.The State has requested a 50:50 cost-sharing ratio for the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) which will co-ordinate the execution of the suburban rail project. In its draft policy, the Ministry has proposed equity sharing of 20 per cent by both Union and State governments with the remaining 60 per cent to be arranged by loan funds or other sources.

If IR wants run all trains on electric engines after 3 years then why it gave contract to GE to produce 1000 diesel locomotives ?
Are these GE locomotives are to be used only in freight corridor ?

There are 4-6 trains which stop at Khirakia and Harda but there are more than 16 trains which pass through these stations b/w 6am and 6pm. Pl check trains b/w khandwa JN and itarsi JN
