very limited network of Railway lines compared to Germany and other Developed Countries , and many lines STILL NOT ELECTRIFIED. The average number of Passengers dependent per Line in India is very high.
Whereas, Duranto Trains pass through this Railway Network, THEY MAKE NO BENEFIT TO INTERMEDIATE STATIONS. E.g., Delhi-Bangalore Duranto passes via imp. cities like Hyderabad, Nagpur, Itarasi, Bhopal, Jhansi, Mathura. STILL THESE INTERMEDIATE STATIONS HAVE NO BENEFIT FROM THIS TRAIN.
Whereas, we have to halt all other Trains, to provide a way for the Super fast Duranto Express.
Whereas, time-conscious Corporate Class, very often prefers Filghts over Duranto Trains, I really doubt, if these Trains really run into Profit.
Hence, I believe, Indian Railway should inspect whether Duranto Trains are really successful and Beneficial for our Nation. I have always admired the Ideas of Garib-Rath and Sampark Kranti Express, which I believe are more beneficial.

it makes sense on paper. however non-stop trains, especially ones with SL coaches like this one have a huge benefit.
SL coaches have become the new age general coaches in almost all long distance trains that have stops. so, there is a huge requirement for long distance travellers to have a cheap option to travel comfortably.
and currently, the only way to achieve this is to have a non-stop train. i completely agree with your requiest wrt AC durontos but not for this one

Agree, GR was a good concept. Otherwise RB can initiate converting some Durantos into LHB SF AC express, With halts only at important stns (where Durantos stop as technical stop)

I am surprised by the fact that although the 190 Km Line between Pune Junction & Mumbai is Electrified, still Diesel Locomotives are used for almost all trains on this line excluding Pune-Mumbai Trains. Particularly southern Hyd-Chennai-Bangalore bound trains always run on Diesels Locos throughout the route on Central Division.
Why is it so? Is it because Central Railway has shortage of electric Locos? Or is it because India has abundance of Diesel? Or is this Negligence of Railway?
Ideally there should have been Electric Locos.

the lines beyond Pune are non electrified and it would be waste to just run an electric loco for 200 kms and halt it there... further these train come with diesel locos that do not belong to CR...hence CR would obviously not keep them at CST..hence they are sent back with these trains.....but it also depends on loco availability..

I am writing here about my experience of Cheating in the Autos of Bangalore.
Last Month, I was coming from Tirupathi and I had to catch this Janashatabdi Train from Bangalore City Junction very early in the morning. Unfortunately the APSRTC Bus was Only upto Shanthinagar Bus Stand. Being unaware of Buses, we decided to go by Auto at around 4.30 AM. The Auto driver said he will charge double-of-meter Reading. Trusting the Meter we agreed him.
While the Google maps show the Distance between Shanthinagar BS and Bangalore City as 5.1

Km, the Meter showed around 8.5KM. While the Meter reading was 92 rupees, the Autodriver charged Rs.220/- saying the Meter reading was as per Old Charges and new charges are as per the Chart which he showed us.
I believe that this is cheating. Cheating in Autos of Bangalore and Chennai was very often heard by me and this time experienced the same.
If there had been Buses, I wished I could go by them rather than spending so much on the Autos.

Thoguh based on old meter and new meter charges+ the new rates revision the fare is correct the distance mentioend can not be 8.5 kms- theres definitely a sort of round about- Shantinagar to majestic will be just around 6 kms and cant be higher
there are lot sof long distant buses that run via shantinagar which reach majestic by 4AM in morning hours including E.City Volvo services on routes in range of 340 to 365
