4nos confirmed sleeper class tickets I had to cancel through TDR filing, before the boarding of train ( couldnot can celled it as chart was prepared) but i got only refund of rs 125/
Kindly relook and refurnd me the amount I ought to be refunded.-

TDR was filed before 6 hrs of dep of the train as soon as chart was made available. Here I tell you I had booked for waiting in both 3 ac and sleeper, but as 3ac got confirmed too upon chart making, I m=immediately cancelled sleeper tkts citing the reason I couldnot can cel it earlier as chart was made.

Sandy, this fog menace has started in last 10-12 years earlier there was less mediaa reporting of the vents and may be less cancellation of the train.
China , during its Olympic opening ceremony had made arrangemets which would send the rain clouds away.
Surely some demystifiers be there, also why ony Delhi has suffer most because of it,,,some topographical and scientific reasons may hel defogging us

See it can work, at least in theory( Implementation , with better ideas can be done):
1.Fencing of the tracks
2. Speed consistency of the trains
3. High beam laser or fog beating lights n the engine to be used at the time of arrival at the station

Idea is simple, you have to travel a fixed distance with fixed spped and in a FIXED track, which is well isolated. whether its night or fog you can travel. Airplanes have monitor which shows what is coming ahead. A neel gai /cttle can come and get crushed but you made arrangements to stop them coming to the tracks,
Now you have to continuosly provide the data :what is the distance between the two trains travleling on the same track!
Maintain that and you can estimate at what time train is going...

Think how many people die in rail accidents, that would necessitates upgradation in safety/signalling and navigation technology
Just quantify the cosst of delay in people lives due to avoidable running of trains due to fog and sundry reasons. public should be informed of choices, their expenditure and wthen would be called tp make a decision.
See metro costs in thosands of crores and only a fraction India area /region is benefitted, while upgrading each station & train naviagtion/signalling system , more people can reap benefits less deaths, more trains on time,...

May be since two years Toiletrs cleaning in Rajdhani etc has been given to a contractors and they are doing ecxcellent.
( the name of service I have jusst forgotten, please someone write it)
In Utkal express at Bilaspur staion/Rourkela, one party is cleaning the toilets.

Yes Ahmedabad Express, I dont Geetanjalui deserves to halt at Gts. OK few more trains from tata to hawrah can halt at Ghtasila, kindly sugeest which trains you have in mind which deserves to take a halt at ghatsila?
