CR Pune Division is finding it very difficult to manage Pune station that it hardly pays any attention to 330 km Pune-Miraj-Kolhapur section that it acquired from SCR some years back. CR Pune Division concentrates only on PUNE Railway station and starts trains only from Pune towards North India. No trains are extended to Miraj Jn even years after Miraj junction was handed over to Pune division. Howrah Pune express, Lucknow Pune express, Bilaspur Pune express and Patna Pune express are still not extended to Miraj Jn. Indore Pune Express is also not extended to Miraj Jn. There is urgent need of creating a separate Miraj division which consists of Nira-Miraj-Kolhapur, Pandharpur-Miraj and Phaltan-Lonand sections.

Yesterday Mr. S K Sood of CR has visited Miraj Junction where Miraj Railway Kruti Samiti has demanded the Miraj Division. Application regarding the same has been handed over to him. He has asked his staff to immediately look at the demand. Seems there is great hope for people of South Maharashtra after creation of Miraj Railway Division.

Mr. Sood visited PUNE as well. Creation of new division is not so easy, many issues need to be address. At the most, he will instruct SM of MRJ to provide better facilities. Also he will instruct DRM PUNE to look after MRJ/KOP.

Reason for not extending Pune trains to Miraj, can be the pressure and understanding between volvo bus operators and IR. Same happens in MAQ-SBC sector and CBE-SBC sector in South.

I ve already suggested that 12629 can run from pune via bsr, brc, kota nzm. Saves lots of time. Plus better route, no loco reversal required like pune dd mmr route. Plus can go from pune to nzm with 3 or 4 stops.

All parts of Maharashtra have Rajdhani - e.g. even a small town like Ratnagiri is connected by Rajdhani. But metro city Pune and emerging mini metro cities like Sangli of Maharashtra and Belgaum of Karnataka do not have any Rajdhani kind of train. This is injustice to the people of Western Maharashtra and Northern Karnataka.

Miraj Hubli Managalore has no train after conversion to BG.
Miraj to Trivandrum via Madgaon also there is no train.
Similarly no train between Vasco and Howrah or Guwahati after conversion of Miraj Latur to BG.
Also no connectivity between Goa and Bhuvaneswar after conversion of Miraj Kurduwadi.
of money spent on conversion of Miraj Bangalore and Miraj Kurduwadi routes have gone as wastage. There is BG track but no useful trains.

Navi Mumbai is growing at a very fast rate and large number of passengers travel from Vashi to Pune, Miraj, Belgaum, Hubli, Bangalore and Mysore. Vashi railway station has 4 platforms and 2 platforms are always free. CR should start Vashi Mysore Express via Panvel, Karjat, Pune, Miraj, Hubli. This will be a hit train.

Not possible for express train to start from Vashi currently. It would be possible only in near future if railway lines are replaced and/or 3rd line is constructed from Vashi-Panvel.

If there is one series of train that is a grand success throughout the country, it is Jan Shatabdi Express that not only ensures fastest connectivity but also lowest in terms of cost. Mumbai Kolhapur Koyna Express and Mumbai Kolhapur Sahyadri express are already running Empty almost every day. Now why do you want new train for Kolhapur. Most of the passengers of Kolhapur trains get down at Sangli and Miraj and then it is empty. Instead CR should start Mumbai-Bangalore-Chennai express via Miraj and Hubli which is a busy sector and has lot of passengers as it will connect metro cities like Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Chennai.

Hello friends. Sharing one of those videos which remains close to my heart as I had to struggle reach this spot and wait in the heat for catching this popular train. I was very happy after seeing a freshly POH'd WDP4 with KSK.
One of the SWR's most prestigious trains, 12630 KSK Superfast Express negotiates the monster 270 degree horseshoe curve located at Daundaj lead by a very clean hunk KJM WDP4 ¯\20037/¯. I had to cut the video at the
end when the train completes a huge "S" curve due to shakes. I will visit here again and hopefully come up with a better video than the present one.

मुंबई-अहमदाबाद मार्गावरील प्रस्तावित बुलेट ट्रेन मार्गावर ठाणे आणि विरार येथे थांबा देण्याचा प्रस्ताव विचाराधीन आहे. या मार्गावर केवळ ११ स्टेशनांची योजना असून त्यात ठाणे आणि विरारचा समावेश केला जाणार आहे. त्यामुळे या मार्गावरील प्रवाशांना गुजरात गाठणे अधिक सोयीचे होणार आहे.
मुंबई-अहमदाबाद या ५३४ किमीच्या प्रस्ताविस्त बुलेट ट्रेनसाठीचा व्यवहार्यता प्रकल्प मे, २०१५पर्यंत पूर्ण होण्याची अपेक्षा आहे. 'जायका' या जपानी कंपनीतर्फे हा अभ्यास करण्यात येत असून त्यानंतर प्रत्यक्ष प्रकल्प हाती घेण्यात येणार आहे. देशात हायस्पीड गाड्यांची सेवा सुरू करण्याचा रेल्वे मंत्रालयाचा मानस आहे. त्यापैकी मुंबई-अहमदाबाद मार्गावर ६३ हजार कोटी रुपयांच्या प्रस्तावित बुलेट ट्रेनला पसंती
देण्यात आली आहे. ही बुलेट ट्रेन बीकेसीवरून सुरू होण्याची शक्यता व्यक्त केली जाते. मात्र, जपानी पथकाने बीकेसी स्टेशनप्रमाणेच वांद्रे टर्मिनस आणि एलटीटीचाही पर्याय मांडला आहे. यासाठी 'जपान इंटरनॅशनल कोऑपरेशन एजन्सी'चे (जायका) सहाय्य घेण्यात आले आले आहे. त्यादृष्टीने या पथकाने नुकतीच राज्य सरकारी व रेल्वे अधिकाऱ्यांशी चर्चा केली.
दोन तासांत ५३४ किमी
बुलेट ट्रेन ३२० किमी प्रति तास वेगाने धावेल. यामुळे दोन तासांत सुमारे ५३४ किमी अंतर कापणे अपेक्षित आहे. पश्चिम रेल्वेवर मुंबई सेंट्रल ते अहमदाबाद मार्गावर दुरांतो ही सर्वाधिक वेगाने धावणारी एक्स्प्रेस आहे. ही एक्स्प्रेस सुमारे सात तासांत हे अंतर पार करते.
ठाणे, विरार थांब्यांचा विचार
बीकेसी, वांद्रे टर्मिनस किंवा एलटीटीवरून सुटणाऱ्या या बुलेट ट्रेनला ठाणे व विरार येथेही थांबे देण्याचा विचार सुरू आहे. या बुलेट ट्रेनचा मार्ग पश्चिम रेल्वेच्या मार्गास समांतर धावणार असल्याने या दोन्ही ठिकाणी थांबे देणे शक्य होऊ शकते, असा युक्तिवाद वरिष्ठ अधिकाऱ्यांनी केला आहे.
मार्गावर ११ स्टेशने
बुलेट ट्रेन मार्गावर केवळ ११ स्टेशने असून त्यात राज्यातील चार स्टेशनांचा समावेश आहे. या मार्गावर मुंबई, ठाणे, विरार, डहाणू, वापी, बलसाड, सूरत, भरूच, बडोदा, आणंद, अहमदाबाद अशी स्टेशने प्रस्तावित आहेत.
महाराष्ट्र-गुजरातचा सहभाग
यापूर्वी पुणे-अहमदाबाद असा बुलेट ट्रेनचा प्रस्ताव होता. मात्र, त्याचा खर्च आवाक्याबाहेर जाणार असल्याचे लक्षात आल्याने त्यास मुंबई-अहमदाबादापर्यंत मर्यादित ठेवण्यात आले. सरकार-खासगी सहभागाने उभारण्यात येणाऱ्या या प्रकल्पात महाराष्ट्र आणि गुजरात सरकारचा सहभाग असेल. हा व्यवहार्यता प्रकल्पात जमीन हस्तांतरण, पुलांची उभारणी, बोगदे बांधणे आदींचा समावेश आहे.
