Looks like Sleeper is the new Unreserved. After Gaya there were unreserved travellers trying to occupy any little space that was available. After Allahabad people were sleeping on the floor, aisles and common areas near the toilets. TTEs were only checking to see if they had [unreserved] tickets. Charging point did not work and the berths were dusty. I was practically forced to spend all my time in my upper bunk. And, of course, the usual Delhi-Allahabad sector delay which meant arrival at 0930 instead of 0600. Deeply disappointing - I did not expect a mainstream train like Poorva to be so shabby.

Sleeper Class experience today was horrendous. S2 was packed with unskilled workmen travelling to Kerala and by noon they had all spread plastic sheets on the floors and were sleeping everywhere. It was impossible to get up for lack of space, fear of theft and fear of seat being taken. The Ticket Checkers were accepting bribes to let these people remain and the upper berths had 2, sometimes 3 people. There was no power in my coach so after sundown it was pitch black with no fans and people lying all over the place.

3A Class passengers traveling upto Mughalsarai / Allahabad/ Varanasi seem to be booked onto B2. That's good because B1 is filled with New Delhi folks and knowing which station is coming up next becomes a little more tricky.

Among the general unreserved (sitting) coaches there is one coach with the newer reclining seats (see photo). This coach is right at the end of the train so a slight walk is needed. The other coaches are the standard 3x3 configuration.
Note - There is similarly, *one* such coach in the reserved sitting category also.

Note to Admin / Moderators - The Rake composition seems to have an error - There is no AE1 coach. At least not on the three times I travelled between September 2013 and Jan 2014.
