Hello all,
I had booked a ticket on 7th June 2016 for a travel on 8th October 2016. It was heavily wait listed at WL 19 and 20. However in the course of 4 months and after loads of questions asked in forum, I was satisfied by seeing that the waitlisted number reducing to a RaC and finally confirmed a week before my travel. On the day of travel, at 1PM, I got a SMS stating that I was allocated B1 coach with seats 15 and 16. These were the seat preferences of my choice. The coach was positioned just behind the EOG vehicle next to the Engine. Which means that I was lucky enough to be one of the first people

to rech NDLS before rest of the people on the train !!
Sharp at 16.50 the signal turned green and a selfie posted n FB stating "Dilli Chalo", I began my journey. Welcome drinks of lime water was served along with a bottle of mineral water of Rail Neer company. Soon after that, it was time for snacks. By the time the train has headed in the chord line off Dankuni, bread sandwich, samosa and tea was served. By the time, Bardhamaan crossed, bread sticks and soup was served. Dinner was served post the train crossed Asansol. Non Veg dinner consisted of 2 Rotis, Rice, Daal, 2 piece Chicken Curry, Pickle, and Curd. The curd was stale and hence, many passengers refused to take it. Customary 2 in 1 ice cream was served before everyone was heading towards bed.
Day 2 started with the train alredy crossed Kanpur Central. Morning tea and breakfast was served. Breakfast includes, 2 piece bread, 1 butter, 1 omlette and tea bag for preparing instant tea. After crossing Tundla and Dadri, the speed reduced drastically and it was becoming a pain as a train of the fame of SDAH Rajdhani was stopped at local stations. However, it was 10.35am, at platform number 15 we were de boarded.
This is my trip report for a journey taken on B1 coach of SDAH NDLS Rajdani Express on 8th October 2016.
The coach condition was new, the attendants and cleaner guy was co-operative and ot looked from the outset that railways is doing a good job in maintenance of rakes and services. However, there is a lot of dissapointment on the return leg of the journey which I will pen a new post sometime soon.
Ceyaa,
Rahul.

Ok!! I will be waiting for the tickets to get confirmed. The date of journey is 7th October. So by when do I get to know if the tickets are confirmed? a day before or only 4 hours before the train departure time? In that case, i have to rush to home and collect the luggage for the trip!!!

In my sense tickets should be confirmed well the day before. Dear Rahul, nowadays you can cancel tickets by calling 139. So nowhere to run for cancellation.

Hello all,
Just a clarification from the people who have traveled from MMR to HWH on this train from Pune. Is the dinner served before the train reaches Manmad at 20.30 or is it served after it has crossed Manmad? Can anyone who has travelled on this train please confirm.
Thanks

Can anyone confirm how many seats are available from Tatanagar to Pune on the HWH-Pune Duronto Express (12222)? I can see only 7 seats are available from tatanagar, where as more than 280 seats are available from hwh on IRCTC website.
Want to purchase three ticket which must have to be lower birth? Is it possible to book ticket from tatanagar to Pune for all the three tickets as lower birth among those 7 available ticket on 1st December, 2016?

With no movement in ticket status for the last 2-3 weeks, my tickets are stuck in WL 45 and WL 46 and its highly a chance to board a train without a confirm ticket. Hence, I am cancelling these tickets and will try my luck in RAC 19 and RAC 20 for 12313 Sdah- NDLS Rajdhani on 8th October. Atleast I will have an access to a seat in the train rather than getting no chance to board the train. With heavy rush in the Durga Puja time...its highly likely that I will have a confirmation in berths with WL 45 and WL 46 for 7th October. I am amazed to see how many waitlisted tickets get confirmed on the day of the journey. If these tickets were sold off on the date of booking rather than not keeping us wait till the last moment. Money could be saved and...

with that tension as well.

Since no one has replied to my question...i decided to do the analysis and report based on my observation for 2 days at sealdah station. First of all, there is no BE or AE coach attached to the train as pointed in the train board by some post. On a daily basis RAC upto 50 gets confirmed. Waitlisted tickets if below 100 have a chance of confirmation. If you have a waitlisted ticket beyond 100, please try the tatkal or premium tatkal optiob when travelling on this train. As this is the second Rajdhani for Kolkata, maximum preference is for the Howrah Rajdhani. So chance of getting a non confirmed ticket converted to confirm is high.

update this information as no one in this forum is interested in seat reservation or ticket status like conversation. Just tracking a train speed and how much time it is delayed is not a characteristic of a railway forum. Unless people get to travel in train what is the point in tracking the speed and what is the importance whether what sort of rake it runs on!!! Simply ridiculous and absolutely immature responses.
Mods should be selected or choaen such that they have the capability to answer questions and requests made by fellow forum members.

Every one knows that dhn is under rlwl quota for 12301. I just want to ask 1 question
Suppoe after chart preparation of train (12301) it has seats avl in current booking which do not get filled upto train departure. Now the seats will remain vacant.
The next stop is dhn under rlwl and has quite long waiting list. Now my question is that whether this vacant seat (ex-hwh) can be utilized by dhn to clear the wl or dhn can allot seat only to the quota it has been given
...
as passengers can be benefitted having wl.

Does this mean that every station on the route will have a fresh list of chart prepared at the time of departure at each station?
