Excellent Retiring rooms at Jabalpur. Stayed there when Notebandi declared.,,😣😀
Excellent hotel Mumbai Masala at the other side of platforms to the Retiring Room.
Good food available at Hotel and at the platforms.
Clean and spacious retiring rooms both AC and Non Ac rooms.
is also polite.
Baby food is not available at Jabalpur station . Even though there are boards at the stalls about baby food availability.
I had to walk a bit to outside of the station and got milk from nearby chai walas.

Lucknow retiring room -non ac snap.
No room door lock is provided. So one needs to arrange for a personal lock while going out of retiring room. Cold drinking water is available. Clean bed and pillows.
No quilt provided.
I saw 4 types of rooms. AC - SINGLE N DOUBLE
ac - single n double
I saw 2 different dormitories as well. AC N NON AC. I guess women travellers are not allowed in dormitories.
A deluxe AC Room costs about 550+ taxes <=650 at max per day or for 24 hours slot. 12 hours slot costs about 375 including taxes.
A single person can book double room as well.
Child below 5 years accommodation is free but I guess even child below 12 years which is part of same PNR is allowed in double room along with parents for free.
Extra person is allowed with some extra cost of 250 or so.
NON AC DOUBLE room costs about 375 for 24 hours slot.
Non ac room for 12 hours is about 275.
Single rooms n dormitories costs even cheaper. I don't remember the exact price but definitely cheaper than ac rooms.
Retiring room is very good option as many delhi n mumbai bound trains are during night time and hotels outside charge you for the entire night.
I wanted to catch mumbai bound kushinagar express and you know many times it gets delayed by couple of hours. Standing at the Lucknow platform can give you nightmares if you are traveling with family n kids. By using dormitory ; you get comfortable bed n much deserved sleep as well.

I had stayed at the Retiring Room at Raja ki Mandi. There are only 2 rooms in pathetic conditions.
Not suitable for family. They are actually situated at platform. Noisy with passing trains honking 24/7.
Monkey nuisance all the time. It took 20 odd minutes to get into the room after a runaround between station master and the room attendant even after holding a valid online booking and that to at 3 AM in the night.
suspect some illegal practices which can not be mentioned here. The rooms are in bad condition with dirty bed linen. Not at all suitable for even a single night stay.

From LTT to igatpuri it halts at thane and kalyan unofficially. TC says thats a technical halt. Many passengers with reservation from LTT boarded the train.
Also if Godan express is on time then this one gets delayed. When I traveled, skd was running an hour behind its schedule and I saw Godan leaving the station as soon as skd entered that respective station.

godaan will never get late due to this train because it runs 15 mins ahead of SKD exp.Kindly check godaan and skd time table. In fact SKD being a superfast with less halts runs way behind godaan till itarsi.SKD requires serious changes in its time table for a perfect run!

Food tip- rail comesum outlet at the station is bad in terms of food quality. The pastry available at outlet was stale n had some wierd smell.
One can just walk across the station and get high quality packed lunch or dinner along with mithai n milk shakes from the shop called as "Manoranjan"
****they do not use onion n garlic in their food but man food tastes amazing. Prices are definitely cheaper than comesum prices with best quality.
