So do we order onboard and receive food at a later station? Or is someone walking through the train selling food from a cart? Thank you

Yes. In most of the cases, catering is done by onboard vendors. They would visit the coaches to take orders of preference, i.e. Veg or Non-veg

My wife and I are waitlisted on train 19613 to Amritsar, Class. We're in the USA. A friend in India placed the reservation on the Indian Railways site and asked for 2 lower berths. I've read couples are often placed together in the "2 berths", which are an upper and a lower. Class 3A. We'd prefer the 2 berth. Is there a way to change the seating request? Or will we likely get it as a couple regardless of the request for 2 lower berths. Thanks all.

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...

The modification to the TL Update scheme - i.e. the introduction of the new RAC System - has led to some efficiency with TL Updates. More TLs are being discussed, and quickly moved up. However, we still have on Average, about 300 Waitlisted TLs in the backlog at any time, and our hard-working and diligent TLMs...
