I heard some railway civil work is going on near Hennur in between Channasandra-Yelahanka stations. Some people are saying a new station is coming up. It may also be a level crossing or pedestrian overbridge, not sure. Members of the forum, who may be aware of this may clarify.

Dharwad to Madurai via Bangalore is better than via Chennai. For connectivity to Chennai from Dharwad, the weekly express train from Hubli can be extended with increased frequency.

Discussions on some projects on AP:
As most of the people are saying several routes are not built. But before that i want to discuss about some other aspects of routes; if they are wisely selected or not.
1. Nalgonda-magarjuna sagar- macherla (80 km):
Better make it as miryalaguda-nagarjuna sagar-macherla (length= 60 km)

> no connectivity loss to armur as it falls on NZB-KRMT line so trains to karimnagar will connect
>future doubling of SC-NZB-BSX-ADB-MJRI may enable some trains to delhi/north india from telangana(say dakshin exp may be diverted)
3.SC-KRMT line.
Must Pass through Vemulawada(tourist pilgrim).
4.Kakinada-pithapuram:
Must facilitate diversion of trains to CCT. Must be SLO-CCT-Pithapuram.

5.Kadapa-bangalore:
Must pass though rayachoti-madanapalle-lepakshi and meet at kolar.
6. Nandyal- yerraguntla
Must pass through proddatur, jammala madugu, chagalamarri, mahanandi, ahobilam.
Also there must be lines of
>kurnool-Nandyal(60 km),
>repalle- gudivada(60km)
>Kadapa-nellore(60km)
>parvathipuram-palakonda-rajam-srikakulam-sri kurmam
These are feasible projects with high return rates.
