Dumdum is one of the best junction in Eastern Railway. It is most important in Rail network. From Dumdum there are Lalgola, Bongaon, Dankuni / Barddhaman, Majerhat Circular, Mtero Railway is connected. To all over West Bengal train is got from Dumdum. But passenger is very upset as there are no train towards SER section like Kharagpur , Digha. So a new train to Kharagpur via Bhattanagar Andul is needed. Absolutely right. I suggest you to update one suggestion. Howrah - Lalgola via DDJ is impossible. Loco Reversal at DDJ is impossible because DDJ is very busy all time. A train cal not strand 20 minutes. I suggest you to lay a track 100 meters from Hooghly station to Bandel - Naihati section & from Halisahar to Bandel - Naihati section. No Loco reversal is needed. Bally station should be shifted 200 meters towards Belur for the easy of passengers Bally & Ballyhalt.
