A Memorable Journey in 12704 in the year 2000.
I reached the station at 2.45am in the morning wid ma parents. my station Visakhapatnam was filled up with pple sleeping on the 1st platform n i had take my baggage's carefully without disturbing them. the station was clean n was calm as there were less night trains.
at 3.15am, the IVRS screamed about the arrival of Falaknuma SF at 3.30am, but, instead of Falaknuma, the Raipur Passenger came in with VSKP WDM-2A first n got into the pf-2. at 3.50am, my train, GY WDM-3A Baldie hauled Falaknuma Expresss entered platform n honked so hard, most the pple who were sleeping got up. some even dashed into each other!! hehehe!! :P

the 19 coach train halted in the station for about 25mins n i was happy with my seating beside my fav place, the WINDOWS of the Sleeper class S-6. ^_^
The beast reversed himself n attached again to our train after getting re-fueled.
at 4.25am, the Baldie honked loudly n the train started to move. I can smell the dusty diesel smoke as the Baldie coughed!! :P
i wasn't aware of the speed in that time but this mad monster reached VZM no less than in 45mins as it was already running late.
I slept for a while as i was a kid that time, but those shakings, n vibrations didn't lemme even sleep properly. its like the Baldie was tryying his best to break my sleep.
I opened my eyes at Brahmapur which reached around 8.10-8.15 somewhere like that. many pple were busy having breakfast n i too saw the LP's were busy eating fast till the starter screeeches.
the train left BAM at 8.25am, n started again a aggressive journey!! the way it rushed past the beautiful lake Chilka was a really adorable one. one side chugging of the monster n another side, the beautiful view of the calm lake. a romantic view of Rail Lovers.
at 10.40am, the monster slowed down at KUR n stopped for at least 20mins, dunno for what reason it was made to stop there.i saw some heated argument with the LP's n the pple. knew its the usual Bandh procession. I HATE THIS STUPID BANDHS!! x(
It departed from KUR at 11.15am, n reached BBS at 11.45am. nearly crawled like snail!! :((( :(((
At BBS, the lunch was provided by the pantry guys at the cost of 20-25rs (don't remember actually) but the food was tasty one. the heat outside was too unbearable!! :((
but GY Baldie is a STUBBORN monster!!
at 12.05pm it started again, n this time it made a decent speed til CTC n crossed Mahanadi Bridge at a slow pace n finally halted due to some accident on the tracks. it had to halt for 10-30mins!!
around 1.15-1.30am, the Baldie angrily honked hard n started its journey!! as i said, its a STUBBORN monster, he didn't let any passenger dissappoint during the journey n made a way with thundering speed which let the cool breeze enter our compartments!! :) Really love him a lott!! <3
but i think Nature too was stubborn n had planned to calm down the Baldie's Anger!! around 3.30-4pm, the rain started!! it was raining hard, n i kept my window open to see how does the Baldie behave!! What to say, Apni Aukat hi dikha diya!! :P It was blasting like anything in the hard heavy rains!! the smoking sound was heard till the last coach too!!
Frankly, i didn't know, wat was wrong with LP's n ALP's !! but for nearly 20-30mins, the coaches started vibrating harder than expected n the chugging became more n more scary!! But i Loved it!! ;-)
reached KGP at 5.15pm under the dark cloudy sky!! was enjoying the rain happily!! but the Baldie was in no mood for entertainment!!
at 5.30pm it started again !! I dunno wat to say, 99% of Entertainment was given by the Baldie itself though i was expecting to meet some new pple in train.
Reached HWH at 8.30pm after a halt for nearly 45mins somewhere at outer station!! But after reaching the HWH station at PF-22, i saw the face of Baldie!! he was calming down!! i just climbed into the Loco n kissed him !!
N the Baldie Honked louder!! hehehee!!
This was the most memorable journey i ever had in my lifetime!!
My love for Rails will b for eva n eva!!

Hope u all will like this lil sharing moments of journey!!

20120329181914.jpgIn my recent visit to vizag i visited Simhachalam station/SCM. I am attaching station entrance pic.
From here we can reach famous vishnu temple Simhachalam. Many piligrams from orissa visits this temple. As this station is in city many people use this station. Regards Simhachalam temple....
It is dedicated to the incarnation (Avatar) of Vishnu known as Narasimha (the man-lion). The temple is a mix of Orissan (main/central shrine) and Dravidian (entrance) styles of architecture.
