20139/Σ Chamarajanagar - Nelamangala Chain ΣChain

Travelled in this train twice between Mysuru and Bengaluru. Some observations:
1. It is hauled by KJM ALCO twins instead of EMD.
2. Surprised to see clean and functioning toilets. Far better than those of Bagmati.

Food vendors come at Naganahalli itself. They have only 5 dosa parcels which gets taken quickly. After that, lots of options for Medu Vada, Maddur Vada, Rice bath, Thatte Idly, popcorn and groundnuts.
5. Occupancy is good. If you want to sleep, climb the upper berth. 2-3 persons were seated on lower berths.
6. Transgenders alighted at Ramanagaram. They were polite and non-imposing.
7. Made to wait at SBC outer. I preferred getting down at Jnanabharati halt and metro station is just beside the railway station. Don`t deboard at Kengeri for metro.
8. Chugging paradise and a treat for ALCO lovers.
9. At very small stations, the train didn`t halted for complete 1 minute. Just 40 seconds only.
10. Most of the coaches were vestibuled and the gate was open.

Having nothing to do on a lazy holiday afternoon, i set out to NMGA (and returned) by this train today.
As claimed by SWR, passengers who used this train were scanty. The number of passenger were much less than the number of coaches this train had.
Before recommending for cancellation, they could have tried to run it in the evening times, but having no access to railway station at NMGA would not help the cause either.
