Saraighat Exp,the most profitable train for IR to operate towards NFR gives a max revenue of Rs 11 Lakh per trip ex HWH to GHY. Diesel Cost Rs 2 Lakh(1000 km with 0.25 kmpl) Salary of Running Staff(2 LP,1GD,5 TTE,7 RPSF all in 3 sets viz HWH-MLDT,MLDT-NJP,NJP-GHY)1 Lakh per trip.Remaining profit 8 Lakh. Is this model cost effective ?
How there wl b only two LP and one guard reqd? There wl be three sets of loco pilot and three guards I.e. In total 9 people wl b reqd... Plus the cost of electric loco maintenance, extra surchrage for the cost of railways workers like controlleres, gangmen, stationery that is being used, cost of maintenance of servers, maintenance of ohe and railway tracks, cost of linen u gt in ac comparmnets... N many more running cost surcharge is added... Its nt so easy to calculate the revenue n cost...
I.e. what I mentioned pls look into carefully..all the staffs in 3 Sets. Their cumulative salary per day is Rs 1 Lakh. Then add around 120 blck stns b/w HWH GHY where there are on avg min 15 staffs required plus maintenances cost of P.Way. please remove electric traction cost as the route ia still considered Non Electric
