A journey full of connexions : In urgently i had to travel from Pune to home (Brother's marriage;)). Month was May , Hot scorching sun and vacation time , so getting a confirmed ticket in any direct train was impossible. Searched Konark , falaknuma , Azad hind and all other trains from Mumbai/Pune/Hyderabad which could leave me near Odisha, but all in vain. So... more...
in end , decided to do some Broken journey in Intercity trains as getting confirm ticket in 2S/CC is way easier than 3A/SL. Itinerary became:- Secunderabad to Vijayawada : SC Guntur Intercity Vijayawada to Balasore : Coromandel express in 2A premium tatkal. 2A & 3A PT both were available but 2A was 430 Rs cheaper as compared to 3A ..I got HA coach....hahahaha..Jai ho premium tatkal baba ;) But i was unable to get confirm ticket for any Pune to Hyderabad/Secunderabad train. I still can not wonder How come i was unable to get a confirm ticket in this 17013 Train also ? LOL.. So now i thought out a plan, To travel in General class from Pune to Begumpet in this train and then go to Secunderabad for boarding Guntur Intercity. Seems bit crazy , but Necessity is mother of Everything. But i was doubtful for how will i get a seat (specially window seat) in general compartment. Then IRI cam to help. One member told me that go to daund Jn. and from there board the 17014 Hyderabad Pune express. The same rake which arrives Pune , leaves as Return Train 17013 Pune-HYD express from the Platform itself. So just as the crowd alights at Platform in pune , i could get my choice of seat. Thus , i carried my back pack considering the journey tiredness (trolleys or suitcase will cause me more pain while travelling). I boarded the 10 am Pune Daund Shuttle from Loni station and reached Daund exactly 11:30 am. Soon after 2-3 minutes i saw a Kazipet Alco coming to Daund and i was confident that its 17014 arriving nearly 10 minutes before time at DD. I chose the 1st general coach after ALCO as after reversal at Pune , this will become the rear end and i will be saved from the black smoke entering into coach. The train reached Pune at 1 pm and soon i was sitting on my perfect Window seat. There was Good amount of crowd boarding from Pune and Majority were Barshi/Osmanabad/Latur people. Train left exactly at 2:15 pm and soon was mps. Again i reached Daund station (2nd time in the same day;)) and still it was 5 min before time. I went and packed some Hot & tasty bread ommlette. Here take care that the this train's Rear coaches comes nearly in the middle of Platform as the rake length is Tiny. After Daund, it was made to wait for atleast 20 minutes at Bhigwan for a heavy Duty crossing with Pune-SUR Intercity. At bhigwan , there was only 1 seller selling good Bhel-puri. After that train was running quite brilliantly. Soon it was dark and train reached Osmanabad on time. But after that it was literally Crawling. Hardly 30-40 kmph speed was done. By this time train was hardly 60% filled. Just as the Train reached latur , nearly whole compartment got empty. The general compartment was containing hardly 30-40 % people. At Latur , there was only 1 food stall with limited snacks. No other option was present. Just purchased some kurkure & biscuits for the night. After that the journey was good. I was expecting some food like samosa or biryani at latur road, but seriously this Latur road Junction was kind of "Ghost station" in night. No lights (They were defective as per told by the SCR Guard who boarded at Latur road junction) was making the environment more dangerous. There was No Food at all anywhere after. Whole night i was unable to sleep properly due to hunger. The train reached Begumpet at 4 am and i bid farewell to this Train. I promised myself to Never ever board again this train and die in hunger again. Instead Buses for pune to hyderabad are way better than this train. At Begumpet there was a Working Water cooler on Pf 1 near FOB/GRP booth. I drank ,seriously, a huge quantity of water and just calmly sat on the bench. I was waiting for the 1st MMTS 04:50 am for Secunderabad. The ticket counter at Begumpet opened exactly 10 minutes before the arrival of this MMTS. Here i wish to give you a tip, Do save a exact Rs 5 change for begumpet-Secunderabad ticket. Counter people don't have change , even for 20 Rs also. And they say Don't buy ticket if you don't have Rs 5 exact change...After some waiting/Sleeping at begumpet, the MMTS came and i boarded it... The rest of the journey was Normal and without any problems as it was all reserved. Guntur Intercity is a excellent train and is very very punctual. I was easily able to complete my lunch at comesuem in Vijayawada and then boarded coromandel.. Thats it for this journey experience... Thanks for reading......
Yes,,,money saving and bit time consuming (1-2 hrs extra) but a perfect safe sleeping journey if brought food in ample quantity while boarding. Money saving bcoz from Loni station itself , i took a General ticket for Loni to Begumpet (The counter wala was bit confused but still the noble guy gave it) , and did this journey : Loni-Daund : Daund-Pune : Pune-Begumpet...;)
CSTM Hyderabad timings were not matching. Bcoz from Begumpet , i had to travel secunderabad and after 4:50 am MMTS , next MMTS was after 6 am and due to which catching SC-GNT Intercity would be very risky affair. Plus , The CSTM HYD exp was fully regret from Pune/Solapur to Hyderabad. Even Mumbai to Hyderabad stretch was also nearly 150 WL. It was vacation time na.
And remember train running via BZA is not for KMT people only. and it will have not more than 2 berths in 2nd a/c and 4 berths in 3rd a/c sharing with other RLWL stations. Except A.P. Tamilnadu, GT, Kerala,Karnataka,Telangana expresses are running at speed of 60-63 KM's/hr this is the only train running with 55--57 KM/Hr

an ICE start early from NED/NZB reach SC at 7 .. and start from SC as 12706 .. and reach VSKP at 9/9:30 12706 will start as JB from VSKP at 6 and reach 7/7:30 at SC and proceed to NZB/NED (it can be used as SC-NED/NZB ICE) Similarly JB should start at 6 at SC reach VSKP (Via GNT, BZA, GDV & BVRT) at 7 .. It should start at 7:30 at VSKP and reach PSA 11/11:30 (either it can be used as VSKP-PSA ICE or JB get extended till PSA) Again it will start as ICE at 4am in PSA and reach vskp st 7:30 and proceed to SC as 12705
the person is asking about the extensions of current trains to other places which is difficult as per his mentioned timings to maintain and clean these coaches at the end points. and if extended IR will think these as new trains and other proposals will be ignored. and the current Starting Pints of this trains will be pushed into RLWL or PQWL and getting seats will be difficult. Already those trains are Jam packed from the starting points. If extended the current stations will not get any chance to enter into these trains. so i am suggesting him to start new services instead of extending current services.
as u mentioned start an ICE from NED/NZB to SC and start it as JB from sC at 6 if 12706 extended till PSA where it will be maintained? PSA Dont have Maintenance facility
then what happens u know? all NED people take ticket until ending points who want to go there and keep their seats no use for SC passengers as NED NZB people know it will go up to VSKP so they will not empty the seats (maintenance time, reaching time,and starting time)
Dear Mr.Mangalagiri, 1. 22415 cant be Rajdhani as Capital is in BZA area. 2. as u mentioned start an ICE from NED/NZB to SC and start it as JB from SC at 6/7. It is quiet IMPOSSIBLE as if JB reaches NZB/NED at night 11.30 it cant start at morning 4.30 with maintenance. it is a 23 coach train and maintenance will take at least 8 HRS. And giving one more rake for his train is out of question. 3.... more...
if 12706 extended till PSA where it will be maintained? PSA don't have Maintenance facility. Again it has to come back VSKP for maintenance and night traffic is heavy in that route which is impossible. 4. As both trains will start as u think i agree. then what happens u know? in case of JB all NED people take ticket until ending points who want to go there and keep their seats no use for SC passengers as NED NZB people know it will go up to VSKP so they will not leave the seats. and the track is single track reaching sC on time is 80% doubt and the train will get more late and reach VSKP at night 23.00. And it cant start again morning at 5 or 6 with out maintenance and it will get delay again at starting point. Before proposing for extending u have to keep all these things in mind.(maintenance time, reaching time,and starting time)
Feb 17 2016 (12:54PM) and ut was used by army people more as well as tourists also now also the people above DBRG dependz on this trains for faster connectivity, as further no train connectivity is there and Assam is mostly hill area and train is faster than bus Now silhar so chances are there to extend one of these trains can go further also Compariing to that area here connectivity is good P always have available seats in GNWL chek and know
good question. But in north any train A/c coaches will on demand. we cant compare those trains with this one. The trains which u mentioned started to DBRG after gauge conversion from GHY as trail. but it got very good patronage as they dont have much trains in that area. and it was used by army people more as well as tourists also now also the people above DBRG depends on this trains for faster connectivity, as further no train connectivity is there and Assam is mostly hill area and train is faster than bus.
