1. No PNR required. On the day of the journey, just go to the Trip tab and enter your Train details. You need to login through your IRI account. . 2. Start the trip before you proceed to the Station. All Train details are automatically downloaded and saved. All Train Details, Time-Table, Passing Stations, Train Crossings/Overtakings will be available Offline during your Trip. . 3. Thereafter, your EXACT Train Position will ALWAYS be available. Even OFFLINE, irrespective of Network Connectivity. Train Delay Status, kms from the previous Passed station, kms to the next upcoming Station, kms to the Next Halt, ETA at Destination. . 4. Check out the IRI Forum, click and upload Pictures, "virtually Offline". Just post it and forget it!!! The picture will upload incrementally in the background whenever there is Network connectivity. You do not have to worry about it. . 5. Record and upload Station announcements, Train sounds. Just click on the Microphone icon, and you immediately start recording. . 6. All your Trip Diary postings are available Offline in RailCal, as well as in the IRI Trips tab.

Well to summarize this journey 1) was delayed due to hose pipe bursts post aljn 2) post that it continuously did 130 kmph 3) Cleanliness of train was superb. Even in the morning when the train was crossing neora still the staff were cleaning the gallery and vestibule. Total rating 5/5 4)... more...
Food was good and better than what I have in 12301/13/59 in up or 12302,14 in DN. 4) Now comes the biggest part and that is it's run in ECR divn. A) Stopped at dildarnagar, chausa, buaxar, banahi, bihîya, raghunathpur, Ara outer followed by pf , karisath,koelwar, sadisopur, bihita, neora followed by danapur outer and finally at DNR where I deboarded the train. Jab ECR apne divn ke prime train ke Saath aisa kar sakta Hai toh doosre zone ke trains ke Saath pata bhi nahi. Controlling of DNR really sucks. This happens to be my first experience in main line route where I was travelling after 7 years as I have been travelling always via GC. GC ke controlling ke aage kuch bhi nahi hain main line. One thing that I noticed here was the signals as I spent most of the time at gate. The signals which I have seen is four lights ie 2 yellow, 1 green and 1 red. But most of the section I saw only two lights. Last but not the least the roads from danapur to aiims is a harrowing experience. Itne ghade and aise roads ki little said is better understood. Took complete 90 mins for 4.4 kms journey
ECR ke do hisse hai Ek Grand Chord jo apne naam ki tarah Grand hai an dusra Main line jisme Main problem hai. Patna ke roads ka jada idea nahi. Agar 4.4 km in 90 mins id due to traffic then ok but Bad roads is unacceptable.
Not like that..u were a bit unlucky on that day..even if SK is delayed by a huge margin,it rarely halts at all those places except DNR (when its running early)..Also morning congestion at around Patna is high..Someday try 12393 and see how it runs in DNR Div..It has also covered PNBE-MGS sec in less than 2:30 hrs.. Regarding controlling and all,yes i agree that GC is light years ahead..
