ROURKELA: Six professional criminals involved in several loot and theft incidents in running trains along with two receivers of stolen articles were on Sunday produced in the court by the Government Railway Police (GRP).  Stolen gold ornaments weighing 173.500 grams estimated at Rs 5 lakh, Rs 30,000 in cash, a country-made revolver, other weapons and five mobile phones were recovered from their possession.  GRP IIC Ajay Das said their arrest came a day after they looted a passenger on board  Shalimar Express. Investigation revealed they were active in running trains between Jharsuguda and Rourkela railway stations.  They are Md Imtiaz, Umesh Sandil, Bijay Choubey, Md Aftabuddin, Md Daulat and Md Asanali Ansari. Goldsmiths Ramesh Soni of Jharsuguda and Sambhu Prasad of Rourkela were arrested on the charges of receiving the stolen articles.
