BANGALORE: Miffed that nearly 23 road overbridges and railway underbridges are pending railways approval, mayor D Venkatesh Murthy on Monday wrote to minister of state for railways V Muniyappa.BBMP and South Western Railways jointly took up construction of 44 railway bridges following the railways' move to eliminate all level crossings. ''As many as 23 projects are yet to be cleared by the senior divisional engineer co-ordinator, divisional railway manager. Despite a letter by urban development minister S Suresh Kumar, work is yet to start," he pointed out.

near Okalipuram junction for an underpass. Even for other RUBs/ROBs, railway officials have been demanding BBMP mark the projects on a priority basis as they can't take up all 44 projects at once. This would affect train speeds at all these places.
