Any idea about History of Eastern Railways Super Crowler Trains ? 1 Answers Any idea about History of Eastern Railways Super Crowler Trains ? 1) Howrah Amritsar Express This train was born in the 1960s as 15/16 Howrah Varanasi Express. Later in the 70s it was extended to Lucknow and dual numbered as 15UP/16 DN between HWH and MGS and 49UP/50DN between MGS and LKO. Later on the number was changed to 49UP/50DN for the entire run of the train. In the 80s it was further extended to Amritsar. 2) Kolkata-Delhi Lal Quila Express This train belonged to the British Raj and it is therefore difficult to pinpoint its year of birth.
