One Side and to Gorakhpur on other Side. It was a Daily Service as 5063/64 Bandra Gorakhpur Avadh Express.
Prior to Extension of this train till Bandra Terminus, this train already had Numerous Stoppages Between Ratlam and Lucknow.
After the Extension of this train till Bandra Terminus , it was Allotted very Few Stoppages Between Ratlam and Bandra, only at Dahod, Godhra, Vadodara, Surat and Valsad. After Few Years the First Halt to be Introduced for this train was Boisar, Followed by Andheri, Meghnagar, Borivali, Ankleshwar, with the Latest Stoppage at Vapi.
Being a Daily Service, it was one of the Highly Demanded trains from Mumbai to Gorakhpur. After the Gauge Completion of Gorakhpur-Narkatiaganj-Muzzafarpur, it was Extended to Muzzafarpur as 5013/14 Bandra Terminus Muzzafarpur Express as a Triweekly Service, breaking the Daily Service of 5063/64 Avadh Express. As that time it was Highly Demanding for train to Mumbai to Bapudham via Narkatiaganj for Connection with Mumbai, and Politicians were Demanding Extension of Today's 11015/16 Kushinagar Express, which was a train between Kurla and Lucknow that time.
Later it was handed over to Western Railways as 9037/38 Avadh Express and 9039/40 Muzaffarpur Avadh Express.
