Q. WHAT SHOULD I DO, IN CASE OF TRAIN ACCIDENTS/FIRE IN TRAIN OR ANY
DISASTER:
1. Passengers should not panic in any t rain disaster
involving train accident/derailment/fire etc and should try
to

come out of coaches either through doors or through
emergency windows provided in coaches.
2. All the railway staff either travelling on duty or on leave
will provide necessary assistance to the passengers.
3. Though Railway administration arrange to provide quick
rescue and relief, arrangements like sending of rail
mounted medical van, accident relief train, help from
local administration and local hospitals but till major
rescue and relief teams come passengers who are not
affected by the accident can help affected ones and if
any doctors are travelling they should come forward for
taking care of injured till major rescue and relief teams
reach the site of accident.
4. Preferablly all electrical appliances should be switched
off to avoid any possibility of short circuiting.
