"I would say that traveling by this premium train would provide a better experience than flying in a plane. This train would pass through the lush greenery of the Konkan belt, giving a picturesque view of the seashore, mountains and valleys, which will let you enjoy the journey and not just the destination (Goa)," he said. When asked about reports that a few miscreants had damaged the windows of the Tejas Express, even before its launch, the official said, "We have taken proper note of it and it is no more an issue now." Yes agree.. This is an excellent gift for Mumbai-Goa-Konkan region. A sector where normally a volvo bus chrges somewhere between 1200-2500 for a seat. These fares and services being provided is just awesome..
Lets hope that passengers also behave responsibly and not tamper with the LED tv's etc. Also CCTV and other equipment is properly maintained. Maybe after few months of running it would be good to see how may of these facilities are in working condition

Obtaining an average speed of 65Kmph in itself is a huge achievement on a single line saturated route like KR. Very few trains on this route eg.:DR-MAO JS, TVC/MAORajdhani and CSTM-MAJN SF are the only ones getting very high priority on this route. Some of the things you mentioned in deficiencies. 1. 65kmph avg is not low. It is KR and single line. There will be crossing. 2. CC is not normal CC which you see in shatabdi, it has foldable legrest, which means you can relax very well 3. For people going to Goa, Karmali is closer than MAO. It is just early departure, and this train is mainly for tourist, and they wont mind going early 5. Fare is not at all high, just do a reality check about food price. 6. Flight prices are dynamic and will increase rapidly, and the view KR provides can never be given by a flight.
160kmph trial is thing of past (about 13 years back). After that trial there were a few major accidents on KR which forces rlys to restrict speed of trains. During monsoon months, Konkan Route in not considered safe at normal speed. Hence, max speed is kept 90/100kmph during these months.

में ट्रेन से सफर के भविष्य को दर्शाती है। तेजस एक्सप्रेस का संचालन शीघ्र ही शुरू होने वाला है। इसके डिब्बों का निर्माण कपूरथला स्थित रेल कोच फैक्टरी में किया गया है। इसके अभिनव डिजाइन वाले डिब्बे 200 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे की गति से दौड़ने में सक्षम हैं, लेकिन रेल की पटरियों में निहित सीमाओं के चलते ये डिब्बे 160 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे की गति से ही दौड़ पाएंगे। स्टील ब्रेक डिस्क, सिंटर्ड पैड, इलेक्ट्रो–नयूमैटिक एसिस्ट ब्रेक सिस्टम की सहायता से 200 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे की गति क्षमता हासिल की गई। 16 नॉन-एक्जीक्यूटिव एवं दो एक्जीक्यूटिव चेयर कारों और एक पावर कोच समेत 19 डिब्बों वाले प्रथम रेक का निरीक्षण आज रेल मंत्री द्वारा किया गया। एक एक्जीक्यूटिव कोच को आगे चलकर एक स्मार्ट कोच में तबदील कर दिया जाएगा, जिसमें कुछ अतिरिक्त सुविधाएं होंगी। इस आशय की घोषणा बजट 2016-17 में की गई थी। तेजस ट्रेन की खास बातें – बायो-वैक्यूम शौचालय (पानी की कम खपत और स्वच्छ) जल स्तर संकेतक टचलेस वाटर टैप, साबुन मशीन संगमरमर की नक्काशी वाली भित्तिचित्र रोधी कोटिंग हैंड ड्रायर नये डिजाइन वाले कूड़ेदान विनाइल युक्त विशेष रूप से डिजाइन किये गये बाहरी हिस्से स्वचालित प्रवेश प्लग वाले दरवाजे (बेहतर आवाज और उष्मारोधन सुविधा, गार्ड पैनल द्वारा इसे नियंत्रित किया जा सकता है) सुरक्षित गैंगवेज (शोर, गंदगी, रेत, पानी के प्रवेश को कम करता है, यात्रियों की सुरक्षा को बेहतर करता है और इसके साथ ही आरामदेह, ऊर्जा दक्षता, सुरुचिपूर्ण डिजाइन है) इलेक्ट्रो न्यूमैटिक एयर ब्रेक आग और धुआं का पता लगाने एवं शमन प्रणाली पावर कार में अग्नि शमन प्रणाली सुरक्षा के लिए सीसीटीवी कैमरे जीपीएस आधारित यात्री सूचना डिस्प्ले प्रणाली बर्थ के पास लगी लाइट के साथ कॉल बेल को एकीकृत किया गया है डिजिटल गंतव्य बोर्ड समेकित ब्रेल डिस्प्ले बेहतर असबाब के रूप में ई-लेदर ज्यादा ऊंचाई वाला अभिनव बैकरेस्ट नये डिज़ाइन वाला आर्मरेस्ट गैस स्प्रिंग युक्त एक्जीक्यूटिव चेयर कार के लिए लेग सपोर्ट कम ऊर्जा खपत वाली एलईडी लाइट्स प्रत्येक यात्री के लिए टच कंट्रोल युक्त एलईडी टीवी (रिकॉर्ड की गई सामग्री के साथ, लाइव टीवी के रूप में अपग्रेड किया जा सकता है) यूएसबी चार्जिंग सुविधा पत्रिकाएं चाय और कॉफी वेंडिंग मशीनें स्नैक टेबल स्थानीय व्यंजन सेलिब्रिटी शेफ मेन्यू *** वीके/आरआरएस/वाईबी- 1415
