LP is never new sire jee, :-)
ALP gets promoted to LP. so, the division LP/ALP must b aware of this routes. anyhow, if its a LP's mistake, then he'll face the muse and will have a charge-sheet filed on him.
but the mistake is of the controllers who routed it in the wrong route. thank heavens, the crew was alert n returned back again to the station.

LP's handling trains in a particular stretch have to maintain "Road Learning", that is an awareness of the P.way, section limitations and restrictions, caution locations etc although its also mentioned in the Caution order and also through boards beside the P.way. In no Circumstances is a LP allowed to handle a train in a particular section with absolutely no road learing.
.
Although the train was led to the GY route, there would never be any risk as far as the safety of the train is concerned, this must again be some over-enthusiastic reporter

putting in his "Opinions". I agree that the SM/RRI folks were at fault, but once a train is interlocked into a particular track, no other train is permitted into that track in Absolute block territory. Nevertheless, good that the LP noticed this early enough within station limits.
