When I saw accidents, I used to dial "108" in both Chennai and Bangalore. It is simple, you need not even wait till ambulance comes -- just dial 108 and tell the address and landmark, and you can move on. Ambulance Driver will call you, just guide him a bit. That's it. There are incidence, where people are taken away by other means like Auto or Car, even after I dial 108, later when the Ambulance driver calls me, I tell him the victim/patients are taken away by other means, so as the driver understands & stops coming to the accident place.
