Hon’ble MR clarifies that there is no proposal of Western Railway Headquarters shifting from Mumbai
As certain sections of media have reported recently about shifting of Western Railway Headquarters to Ahmedabad. Shri Suresh Prabhu, Hon’ble Minister for Railways has clarified that there is no such proposal of shifting of Western Railway Headquarters from Mumbai to Ahmedabad or any other place under consideration with Ministry of Railways.

Wait for sridharan report. Mostly railways will be divided into 3 parts. Controlling power at one place which is railway board not at all good for a huge country. Wait for 2 years you will see what reforms will be there.
In 5-6 years span we will have high speed train which will have independent body not under railway board.
