i think they (IRCTC) have taken cue of travel insurance from airlines booking... earlier, politics was involved and rs. 2 lakh, 5 lakh, 10 lakhs were announced for such deaths and disabilities in train accidents ... now, as travel insurance is available, such politics (taking from govt. money) would be eliminated ... and by this scheme, insurance companies would take up the insurance premiums and settle claims ... and govt. money would be saved ?!?!??!?!??!?!??!!?
