If that happens than it's well and good. It's time they think about ammending those Ghat rules too those are obstructing development here.
One rule I wish that is ammended is coach restrictions 24 coach trains should be allowed here if not all than atleast the 2 I mentioned above.
I want SWR to strongly prove that my screen name is Totally wrong. Lol.

Freight derailment means wagons falling into the bridges/gorge not engine or guard cabin, Same cannot be considered for pax trains, more or less 70 people per coach lives will be as risk.

And how is it that locos will stay on the tracks 100 percent if locos derail than LPs will be at risk too. But earlier 22 coach trains were running fine here. No incident happened. Sometimes 22 coach Amaravati express used to run with one HCPV too and that too with Alcos as bankers and operations were fine but now on upgrading Bankers to EMDs they brought down to 20. Instead of upgrading the route to accommodate 24 coach trains from 22 they went step back to 20.
Isn't that downgrade ?

with SWR is they have no interest in improving passenger services here even doubling is undertaken with Port connectivity in mind.
How long does it takes to upgrade just a 26 kilometers of route to accommodate 24 coachers. More than 13 years ?
SWR formed in 2003 since then only two trains introduced by them on this route and two weeklies ie. VSG MAS and VSG VLKN. Amaravati express to Howrah was demanded by SER and only because Mamta Didi it got extended with one day frequency increase.
So SWR track record in 13 years is only two weeklies introduced on VSG LD route and downgrade coach capacity from 22 to 20 instead of upgrade to 24.
Whereas rest in India zones are planning to go 26 coaches.

VSG MAS was proposed by SCR and all the ground works were by them but it got introduced after SWR formation. The year of introduction of VSG MAS was in 2003 , whereas SWR was formed in 2003 too ! Trains after 2004 are SWR

So than SWR introduced only one new train on LD VSG route that too weekly.
Can't credit SWR for Amaravati express extension to Howrah and frequency increase from 3 to 4 days as it was proposed most probably by SER and Mamta Didi was RM so that was a sure shot one.
But SWR is definitely responsible for its downgrade from SF to M/E and now from 18 coacher to 17 coach one.
