Good move. Between Puttur and MAJN, it takes 2 hr 25 minutes whereas passenger train takes 58 minutes!. Straight wastage of 1-1/2 hours. If it can reach MAJN by 16:15 and after LR leave at 16:30, it can reach KAWR at 21:30. This will increase patronage also for Udupi, Kundapura public.
In the return direction, from Hassan to YPR, both exp trains take more timethan passenger. HAS YPR can be speeded up to 3:15 minutes, so that train can reach YPR by 8 to 8:30 pm

SWR can realign the MYS Dharwad /SMET exp as MYS Dharwad/ Ballari exp with bifurcation at JRU. A separate train from MYS to KAWR/ SMET can be run with bifurcation at Hassan.
