how this will actually on ? Say on IRCTC I start booking and it says Fare is 1200 and sent to Payment Gateway to Pay 1200 ,so if those seats are gone and now seats are at 1400 ,what will happen to my Payment ?
Hmm, you should be charged 1200 or your payment should be failed with NO money going from your A/C to IRCTC.

the fare which is shown will be only charged . Dont worry about extra payment as that will not be applicable to that particular txn
but there isn't any notification supporting that fare shown while payment will increase when you proceed to payment.
