Kochi : The Kochi Metro Rail Corporation today handed over Rs 15 crore to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation for undertaking preparatory works for the Rs 5000 crore Kochi Metro Rail project. The amount is for construction of Salim Rajan Railway over bridge, North railway overbridge, widening of Banerjee road, South railway station road and MG Road, Kochi Metro Rail Managing Director Tom Jose said. The total cost for the preparatory works is Rs 158.68 crore, of which Rs 38 crore, including Rs 15 crore, has been handed over to DMRC, a press release here said.
