To ensure easy availability of unreserved tickets and reduce crowding at current booking counters at railway stations, the Salem Division of the Southern Railway has nominated the following persons to function as Jansadharan Ticket Booking Sevaks (General Public Ticket Booking Service Providers) in Coimbatore and Tirupur:
G. Saravanakumar, Annamalai Hotel, Near Shanthi Theatre, State Bank Road, Coimbatore 641 018 and P. Venkatachalam, Shri Hari Telecoms, 48, State Bank Road, Coimbatore 641 018 in Coimbatore and M. Alagiri, 25, Municipal Shopping Complex, Jaivabai School Road, Near Railway Station, Tirupur, and C. Mahaboob Basha, 10, Badra Kali Amman Kovil Street, College Road, Tirupur.
A release from the division says that travellers can avail of unreserved tickets from these service persons at anytime on any day of the week.

The Division has also de-reserved a few sleeper coaches in the following trains to handle heavy rush and keeping in mind the convenience of the travelling public. Public can book sleeper tickets in the said trains without going in for advanced reservation.
