The Northern Railway has introduced Automatic Ticket Vending Machines at 30 railway stations in Delhi and the National Capital Region.The railway stations include the New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Tilak Bridge, Shivaji Bridge, Delhi Junction, Anand Vihar, Palwal, Faridabad New Town, Faridabad, Sahibabad, Delhi-Shahdara, Narela, Badli, Ghaziabad, Naya Ghaziabad, Tughlakabad, Delhi Cantonment, Delhi Sarai Rohilla, Delhi Kishanganj, Shakurbasti, Bahadurgarh, Subzi Mandi, Ballabhgarh, Modi Nagar, Meerut City, Sonepat and Gurgaon.The unmanned ATVM can be operated by the passengers themselves. Tickets will be issued through a smart card. Passengers would be able to avail of the card from the Smart Card Counter nearby the ATVM machine at the railway station.The security deposit for smart card will be Rs.50, which can be topped up with the minimum amount of Rs.20 and further in multiple of Rs. 50 up to maximum limit of Rs. 1,000 at a time. However, no concession will be given to the passengers in the case of renewal of monthly season tickets/quarterly season tickets. The validity period of smart card will be for one year.No duplicate smart card will be issued in case of loss/theft.
