The city corporation has not decided to give land for Kochi Metro Rail Ltd to construct a metro station near Town Hall, according to mayor Tony Chammany.
Refuting reports about the civic body handing over land on the southern side of the Town Hall to KMRL, he said no discussion in this regard was held with the agency.
“Though the corporation has agreed to provide eight cents of land at the northern side of the Town Hall for facilitating the construction of North railway over-bridge (ROB), no decision had been taken regarding allocation of land at the southern side for constructing a Metro station,” said the mayor.
