New Delhi : If the recommendations of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways are implemented in letter and spirit,  passengers will now be able to enjoy food of the areas they are travelling to.The panel has recommended that the country’s diversity should be properly recognised in preparing cuisines.  “Indian Railways have a vast network covering Kashmir in the north to Kanyakumari in the south and up to Bhuj in the west and Agartala in the east, with each region having its distinct regional cuisines. It is imperative on the part of the Railways to ensure the availability of regional cuisines depending upon the area,” says the report which was tabled on Monday.The Railway Board on its part also briefed the panel. “When a train leaves from Chhattisgarh for Chennai, by the time it reaches Nagpur you will getting food from the local cuisines there.
