KOLKATA, JUNE 1: The night running of trains, mainly freight trains, on the 450-km long Kirandul-Kottavalasa (K-K) line has remained suspended for the past few days following a Maoist threat and intelligence reports, according to East Coast Railway sources. As a result, no trains are running on the route between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., the sources point out. “The restriction on night running of trains on the K-K Line will be in force till June 8”, the sources observe adding, “the extension of the restriction, if any, will depend on the intelligence inputs”.
