Kolkata, June 1 (PTI) In another rail mishap, a motorman died when the Kharagpur-Tata Memu Passenger dashed against a truck at an unmanned level crossing at Sardiha in West Midnapore district under South-Eastern Railway this evening. SER CPRO Soumitra Majumder told PTI that the train started from Kharagpur at 6:20 pm and "we got information that it later dashed against a truck between Sardiha and Jhargram at an unmanned crossing". He said motorman A K Pal was initially taken to Jhargram Sub-divisional Hospital in a serious condition. "Now it is confirmed he is dead," Majumder said. A medical van has rushed to the spot but "all the passengers in the train were safe and there was no injury to any passenger", he said. The train got stranded and efforts were on to resume its journey.
