Four passengers were killed and 62 others injured including 28 seriously. when the Poona-Bangalore Express derailed early this morning about 13 miles from Hubli, according to the Southern Railway authorities here. All the seriously injured passengers have been admitted to hospital in Hubli.
The accident occurred at about six in the morning while the train was passing over a small bridge, between Kungdol and Saunshi on the Hubli-Harihar metre gauge section of the Southern Railways. The engine tender and the six bogies immediately behind, derailed and capsized.The first bogie a luggage-cum-brake-van, has been smashed.
The other five derailed bogies comprised two general third class, one first-cum-second class, one third class sleeper, and one first class compartment. The killed included a postman from Hubli, and a clerk of the personnel branch of the...

This is Dc 50 Years Ago News
should be titled accordingly else it leads to confusion and may cause large trouble to relatives of people travelling in such names trains.
